La Orotava; the star of Corpus Christi

Corpus Christi celebrations are about to be held across Tenerife and once again, beautiful La Orotava will be leading the way.

The festivities here are legendary, revolving around the breath-taking carpets of coloured sand from Mount Teide which are created in the main plaza and look just like famous masterpieces. Else-where, residents make their own floor pictures using petals.
