Archer eyes summer tournament

A champion archer has pledged to represent both the Canaries and Granadilla de Abona in a Spanish tournament this summer.

Pedro Antonio Luis is already Canary champion and will compete in the Championship of Spain in Valencia in July.

He has spent six years practising archery and has achieved much success, including first place in the Canary championships held in El Rosario in February.

Youngsters triumph in carnival tennis

A junior tennis tournament held in Santa Cruz as part of the Carnival celebrations proved an outstanding success.

Tigers capture five more trophies

Tenerife Tigers, the island’s hugely successful cheerleading squad, have been on their travels again.

They continued their successful path when taking part in a “Circus Spectacular” competition held in Sheffield. The tournament attracted more than 160 entries, including cheerleading and cheer dance.
